Summer Term!

A warm welcome back to everyone after 2 weeks holiday - can't quite believe it is the summer term already!

This week in maths we have been revisiting our number skills, working on recognising sequences of numbers both in digits and in words. We want to be able to count confidently forwards and back wards from any given number and recognise a missing number from a given sequence or pattern.

Here we are today making the most of the weather and sorting number words onto an outdoor washing line. This task, which can be easily recreated in the garden (write number words on some wooden pegs), was great for encouraging the children to recognise written numbers and also for sequencing. To make this more tricky, you could choose random numbers between 1-100 and have your child pull a peg at random and estimate where it should go on the line.
