Happy Half Term

After our church service today sharing our 'Walking Through the Jungle' story, we came back to school to write about all the wise people we know and how we know someone is wise.  The children came up with a long list of things including:
 - people making sensible choices
 - people helping one another, especially when they are in need of help
 - people making tricky decisions

We all thought lots of people in our families were wise.

Have a lovely half term break, Miss Wones

Exploring Outside

Lots of exploring leaves and trees today!  Some people wanted to climb trees, others wanted to swing from strong branches and some of us collected beautiful autumn leaves after reading 'Red Leaf, Yellow Leaf.'  Others of us made a den with sticks and re-enacted 'The Three Little Pigs.'

Gressenhall

This week on Wednesday we went on a coach to Gressenhall to learn about what life was like in Norfolk in the past and also to visit the farm.  It was a wet morning when we left school and we enjoyed watching the raindrops falling as we traveled to the museum, but then the sun started to appear - Esme even spotted a rainbow as we got nearer to our destination!

Our favourite things were seeing the farm animals who even tried to talk to us and enjoying the tractor and trailer ride.  Back at school on Thursday we had so much to write about from our exciting day out.

Wonderful Wildlife Area

Orange Class have been enjoying the wonderful autumnal weather in our Forest School sessions. So far we have got better at looking for and identifying bugs, we have made potions in our mud kitchen and made some fantastic autumn art including mobiles, magic wands and sticky door hangers!

As the weather starts to turn cooler, the children have said they are interested in making cosy dens and having a real camp fire...so watch this space!

Letters and numbers!

Wow!  We have been hard at work this week practicing how to spell some of our key words and perfecting our handwriting.  On Friday we were really excited to have some of our parents and carers join us for some Maths learning.  We made number lines to 20, played snakes and ladders, went outside to practice our counting and even had time to use our new Maths programme on the computers called 'Active Learn.' Phew!
